DCVS, which is an all India level registered NGO, was setup in the year 1989. At DCVS we work to empower and uplift, the urban poor and migrant communities, across India, by fostering inclusive growth, social equity, and sustainable livelihoods. We are committed to bridging the gap between opportunity and access, ensuring that every individual regardless of their socio-economic background has the chance to live with dignity, security, and hope.
We recognize the resilience and potential of India’s urban poor and migrant populations, who often remain at the margins of development. Through targeted interventions in education, healthcare, housing (PMAY), skill development/ livelihood training, legal aid, and employment facilitation, we work to create pathways for upward mobility and lasting impact.
By collaborating with local communities, government bodies, and private stakeholders, we aim to build inclusive urban ecosystems that are responsive to the unique challenges faced by migrants and the economically disadvantaged. Our approach is holistic, rights-based, and people-centric grounded in the belief that sustainable urban development can only be achieved when no one is left behind.
